SPEAKER_00You never know who's driving or where we're headed. All we know is it's always a fun ride. Back with it. Here we are. And I just want you to know, not you, Steven, you listening. We have not, like, we literally just sat down and have called up for like three minutes. And I'm like, we have got to record this. We've got to get live after this. Let's go. I think that was me saying that because you're just scattered about. I am not. But we really haven't called up since your vacation, my vacation. We've been having to do a lot of like we've been on vacation. Book work. Yeah. And that sort of thing. That's the only thing we talked about. You're like, oh yeah, you already forgot about your vacation. I mean, it just seems like a that seems months ago. Today is Sunday. We're recording, and that was just you just got back like four days ago. Wednesday.

SPEAKER_00You just got back. That seems so long ago. I just got back on. Wait, no, you were back a week. Yeah, yeah. We got back on Thursday. I just got back Thursday. I just got back on Thursday. We were here a week. You were you've been back a week. Oh my god. Our schedules are so we're just so screwy around here. I don't even know what day it is. Oh, okay. So let's get into it.
Vacations And The $100 Hotel
SPEAKER_00How was your vacay?
SPEAKER_02You know what? It was really nice. That's good. It was very, very laid back, very restful. Um, I intentionally did not look um at my credit card when we were there, you know, because we just kept charging everything to the room. Must be nice. Uh-huh. Like I told you, everything that everything there was a hundred dollars.
SPEAKER_00We did talk when I was at the beach, we went, Daniel and I went to our beach cottage. You went to uh the Ritz Carlton at Amelia Island.
SPEAKER_02And we love the hotel. Yeah. But it was just comical to me because I forgot it was all of 58 degrees in the hotel. Yeah. Which is nice, but I forgot uh I didn't have a sweatshirt. Nana needed her sweater. I Nana needed it. And so I said, Well, I gotta go buy a tea shirt, like a long sleeve tee. I'll get the cheapest thing. Hell, it was $109. I said, and then and then we had, you know, and I wasn't really paying attention. I was like, I, you know, I've gotta have it. Uh-huh. Um, and then we got like cheeseburgers and fries, $100.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_02It like everything we got. Then we had for dinner one night, we weren't really hungry, and we had uh just a couple drinks and nachos, $100. So I said, Well, this is the hundred dollar hotel. Like every single thing is a hundred dollars. Uh-huh. And uh I told Dylan and we laughed, and I said, you know, I'm not I'm not looking at any charges till I get home because everything's a hundred dollars. It's going we're this is going to be, you know, we used points and stayed free, but it's still gonna be five thousand dollars because everything's a hundred dollars.
SPEAKER_01Uh-huh. Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_02But we got back and you know, it was all we only spent like the whole time, yeah, twelve hundred dollars. Okay. Like in and out of like total. Yeah. I was like, that's really not bad for a week. Yeah, that's not bad. So you did good. You did good. Yeah. Yeah. And uh, and Dylan was like, I said, everything's a hundred. He said, No, it's not. Breakfast is cheaper, and we got like for breakfast, we got coffees and like a little pastry, yeah. Or like a a brand muffin. Uh-huh. He was like, that's only $36. I was like, okay.
SPEAKER_00Okay, yeah. Only $36.
SPEAKER_02Yep. But it was funny. I mean, it was really nice. It was it rained a lot, but I didn't really care because we just like being in that hotel. Right. And um, and there's a lot of good restaurants. And then we went to um, we chose ChatGPT chose some of the uh highest recommended restaurants. So we tried like three different ones in on the island.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And you know, I'm not a big meat eater. One was like this little patio restaurant.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And we got I got meatballs. I got spaghetti with meatballs. Well, I had no idea what they were famous for. They were famous for meatballs.
SPEAKER_00Oh, well, there you go.
SPEAKER_02Best damn thing I I've ever eaten.
SPEAKER_00I was like, how do you make a meatball any better? I mean, it was so good.
SPEAKER_02Good flavor. Yeah. And I said, I said, I'm so shocked to the the waitress. I said, These are the best damn meatballs I've ever had. She said, Well, that's why we sell shirts that say I just came for the meatballs. And she said, We're known for our meatballs. I said, Well, hell. I said, I guess I can see why. That's funny. But it was just uh nothing was eventful, nothing at all. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um not I mean, that's not good, low-key.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it was just very restful. We did go to some antique stores. I sent you some weird taxidermy stuff. Um but no, it was just a really nice um just it was funny. We were in Jacksonville and we went to a restaurant. Well, we started the whole thing off. Wait, I've got to back up. See, I've already forgotten all this shit. Uh-huh. Well, you know, I had in my mind we were gonna be there on Thursday.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I forgot what happened with I didn't even ask you. I saw on Dylan's story. D do fill me in on this. You went on vacation on Thursday.
SPEAKER_02I had in my mind in Steven's little brain, we were checking in on Thursday.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm. We wasn't You pull up, you're like, We're here. It was Friday. They're like, we don't have you.
SPEAKER_02Uh-uh. Or so well, I realized it before. Oh, you did? But I was like, well, hell. And I said, it's fine. It's fine. We got a we got a hotel room. We did a little cheapy deal. Um it was a hotel under it was just for one night. But I was like, we're gonna go to these antique stores anyway. So it worked out fine. Yeah, but yeah, that was one time I'm glad it could have been bad. It could have been really bad. But um, it wasn't a big deal. Yeah. So it was it was good.
SPEAKER_00How's our house
Florida Cottage Reset And Rental Plug
SPEAKER_00in Florida? Our house in Florida is great. Daniel and I, we were there what, 10 days, 11 days, I don't know. Start to finish. But anyway, uh the house is in good shape and great. Um, you should visit it sometime.
SPEAKER_02I haven't been in three years, but we're going in a few weeks. Yes, yep, yep.
SPEAKER_00So I'm I'm looking forward to it. Uh-huh. Uh and we had the best weather ever. I mean, it was August at the beach. It was hot, but it wasn't miserable hot and it wasn't miserable humidity. It didn't rain not one single day. When we were driving off over the bridge, it rained for like five minutes.
SPEAKER_02And I told you I didn't know how it was gonna be because we were on the butt you know, Florida's so big. Yeah. We were on the west, uh, I'm sorry, we were on the east coast. Our house is in the panhandle. Yeah. So I didn't know, but because we we had rain every day at some point, which was fine too. But it's crazy how you can be in Florida and big.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00And so it didn't rain. We just but we had a very low-key vacation. So, you know, when we go to the Florida cottage now, because we we've had it since what? We've had it five years. Four four twenty twenty-one, five years now, um, that we've had it. We bought it in August of 2021. This is 2026. That's five years. Steven's looking very puzzled over there. Um, yep. Um, but anyway, so now when we go there, which we absolutely love it, we love the house, love being there. It's more like a second home. So we're not doing as much of the, you know, vacation, you know, tourist things, I guess. So we just we went to the beach every day, and then we would come home, we would do a little something around the house. We, you know, we worked from there too. So I was working on the website and some new stuff and did a couple of live sales while I was there.
SPEAKER_02I went to the beach once. I did, and we walked, we walked five miles on the beach.
SPEAKER_00That's a nice walk.
SPEAKER_02But I was barefoot. Oh, your feet were raw. I mean those little babies. Yeah, there's not all my skin is gone. Yeah, yeah. Well, that's it. But yeah, it was nice.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So the beach house is nice, the beach is pretty much.
SPEAKER_02The pretty beaches, listen, I can tell y'all this if you're listening, and if you don't know Florida, you know, we go to South Florida every spring for the Miami Open and Dylan enjoys that. That's great. But I will tell you the prettiest beaches in Florida, hands down, without question. The prettiest beaches on the east coast for a beach beach, sand beach, are in the panhandle. For sure.
SPEAKER_00Without Destin, where Miramar Beach, 30, 30A, that's the prettiest. It is so gorgeous. And the water was so good the whole time we were there. It wasn't too rough or anything like that.
SPEAKER_02So it was a good thing. And for beach swimming, like sand for pretty sand and all that, I will I will say because I've been pretty much all down the west coast. Yeah. Um it's the prettiest. It's the prettiest in the country. I mean, there are pretty coastal areas, but it's it's more like cliffs and you know, in Carmel and Monterey and Malibu. It's just not the but for a beach to walk in the sand and go out.
SPEAKER_00That's the panhandle's the prettiest. For sure. It is. And our cottage is for rent. If you want to go stay, look us up, reach out to us. Nostalgia Products That Burned
SPEAKER_02So, you know what I was thinking about, and I was talking about this with to a friend. Uh-huh. And I don't think you have ever. When I grew up, you know, I grew up in the sticks of South Carolina. Mm-hmm. Not that you would ever know by my uh very proper accent. Grammar. Well, my grammar is pretty good. Grammar is pretty good. Um dialect. Yeah, my d uh dialect. When I grew up, you could sever an armor leg. You could cut off your leg, cut a finger off. It didn't matter. It didn't matter what you did. When you went to the house, they got out the macurichrome or methylate.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that was causing awkward I actually looked this up not that long ago. I just looked it up. That is crazy that you did.
SPEAKER_02I did this week because I'm like, why is there no macurichrome or methylate? Oh, that shit would burn. Burn, and I can remember my mama would say, it's gonna burn, but she would put it on and then below, and it burned like hell. Yes, girl. But I mean, I had I went around with dark salmon splotches all over me because I was always outside playing. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, but it skinned up your knee. Or you cut it with an axe.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you'll be fine. We're gonna put some methylate or macurichrome.
SPEAKER_00Like a brown bottle.
SPEAKER_02Brown bottle with a white label. Uh-huh. And yes. So I looked up methylate and macurichrome, and I was said, why? Why did they why is this not anywhere now? Yeah. Well, no damn wonder.
SPEAKER_00I can't remember what the problem was.
SPEAKER_02No damn wonder. I know what's wrong with me now. What was it? It was how it was mercury. Is that what it was? Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I couldn't remember. That's crazy. I bet that's why we're homo.
SPEAKER_02Right there. Right. It all tracks back to the mercurichrome.
SPEAKER_00Probably. Oh god, too much mercury.
SPEAKER_02Next thing you know, you're but isn't that in that I mean uh that is funny. And then there was another, there were some other like common household.
SPEAKER_00Well, I looked up also, and this has been a few months, random things have pop in my head. I couldn't remember what the sweetener was called that my mama used to. I remember her clearly using it in her. Yes, that was like a peel. Yes. It looked like a peel. Yes. Yeah. And you know, that's not a thing anymore. Although I think it truly got pulled and kind of rebranded as it's the same ingredient and something.
SPEAKER_02It none of that's good for you. And I'm telling you, you better watch some of these sugar alcohols. You will absolutely, I mean, you can eat, I can have xylitol. Xylitol is in a lot of sweet, like little packet sweeteners now. I have to read. I have to know what I'm taking. It's in chewing gum. That's is very common in chewing gum and those little packets of sweeteners. You give me two packs, I am colonoscopy ready.
SPEAKER_00That is crazy. I remember you talking about it.
SPEAKER_02And I look that up, and it's like, yeah, there's a percentage of people that are just highly allergic to it. But if you use enough of it over time, it it you get used to it. I thought, hell no. Hell no, I don't want it. We're just gonna avoid it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, altogether. Yeah. That is funny. But I don't know why that what is it called? Macurichrom and methylate. Yeah. I had to look up, I couldn't remember the name of it. Uh because I didn't know I don't even know what made me um. I don't know what made me that it was in every cabinet. Google, what was the medicine back in the day you would put on cuts that came in a brown bottle? That's how I that stained everything.
SPEAKER_02And it was red. An orangey red. Orange, yeah. Just made a mess. Burned? I remember that. Like Yeah. But I mean, both my grandparents, it were it was in their medicine cabinets. We're not.
SPEAKER_00I don't remember it. I remember it at my grandmother's house more than anywhere else. And it's probably I fell there or like got cut there or something, or s I don't know why that's where it's stuck in my head. Grandmother's not mamma's. Yeah. Mamma had it. Oh, I'm sure they all had it, I'm sure, but I'm just like, that's probably where I remember it being applied or something. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02And I don't even remember really when it went away.
SPEAKER_00You just kind of Was it a thing, or did they just stop making it? You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_02And I'm like, I was trying to think like when I cleaned out my my mom's house, and I was like, I don't remember seeing my thylate or macurichrome, because I would have been like, oh hell. You've been like, I'm gonna take it. I'm gonna keep this. But I was like, I wonder, you know, I got to thinking about it, I was like, I wonder what was in that, why they pulled that. Yeah because it must have been something bad bad. But then it it had mercury in it. I thought, well, hell. Well you just never know. I'd do it. You never know. I mean, the original Coca-Cola had cocaine in it. I think they need to be bringing that shit back.
SPEAKER_00That's what they need to bring back. Yes. See, they don't need caffeine in it. Put the Coke nice. Put the Coke back in Coke. Let's start a campaign. Put the Coke back in Coke. Low dose. We'll be cracked out and ready to go. Think of the things we could get done.
SPEAKER_02And you know, I was doing a little test, a quiz on uh Instagram this morning, and it was on 1970 sitcoms. Oh. You know, Laverne and Shirley were way before their time because now the big thing is everybody's doing those drinks, those um like coke cocktails, like dirty soda.
SPEAKER_00Dirty sodas. Yeah. But did you see one opened up right here? Swig is the place from Utah. I saw that. One opened up right up. Is that what it is? Yeah, that's a dirty soda place. The line was wrapped around it. I'm like, good lord. I told you about that. But Laverne and Shirley.
SPEAKER_02That was their drink, was milk and Pepsi mixed together.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that was their dirty soda.

SPEAKER_00Yeah. Someone just started that. It's what you call it a mixed soda, uh, you know. They just someone thought that was cute.

Dirty Soda And Southern Sayings
SPEAKER_00good Southernis.
SPEAKER_02Oh, good. Good, good. And I th I think you would know I think you might know this one. So say if someone has a real good personality or a good disposition. Uh-huh. A winning disposition. Yes. What would you say? Like back in the day. In the in the well, you you weren't the hills of Tennessee. You were the flat land. Flat. Um I don't know. Like they have a night. They have you would say instead of saying, Oh, she has a good personality or good disposition, she has a night, she has a good turn about her.
SPEAKER_00A good turn about her?
SPEAKER_02Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_00Turn. Never heard that one. Yes, you have. No, I haven't. A good turn about her. So like a good air, good personality. Turn. Yeah. Good turn.
SPEAKER_02Huh. I you know, you they, you know, you'd you'd meet somebody and you go, you know, I I like her. She has there's I like she's got a good turn about her. Mm-hmm. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. No, I don't know that one.
SPEAKER_02And sometimes I noticed, like I call my dad today and I was talking to him on the phone, and I've noticed when my dad talks pretty much like my grandparents did. Yeah. He says all of the things. Right. All he'll say turn, um, change, yeah. All the things.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And I've noticed my My dialect changes when I when you talk to him, it goes back. I noticed that today, and I was like, Lord, I caught something I said. Um matching his yeah, I said I I'll think of it in just a minute. Um that is something I said, and I said, Why in the hell am I saying that? That's funny. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So I have do you have any other Southern nuts? Okay, I have something that we gotta discuss because I want I want your true answer on this.
Moon Phases Flat Earth And Doubt
SPEAKER_00You know, I'll give it. I I don't make I don't know. And you can say I never thought about that, whatever. I just want your true thought. I am 45 years old. That's a fact.
SPEAKER_02You don't look a day over 49. Thank you.
SPEAKER_00So Daniel and I were walking at the beach, walking the dogs one night. And somehow, well, there was supposed to be a meteor shower and blah blah blah. Somehow the moon came up. And I was like, Where's the moon? Because we couldn't see it. Did you in my mind, in my mind, realistically, I thought the moon, the sun goes down, the moon comes up. The moon goes down, the sun comes up. Like I just don't ever pay attention to it. But you know, there's some nights the moon's not like you can't see the moon, not because it's cloudy. Like it doesn't come up in your area. Right. So like you might go out tonight and there's no moon in the sky. Right. I never knew that. I I never thought about that. Like, I just thought like how the sun comes up, you know, in the daytime. When the sun goes down, the moon comes up. And it's, you know, sometimes a full moon, it could be a sliver of a moon, it could be whatever stage, but that it goes up and then it just goes down and then the sun comes up. Mm-hmm. That's not the case. You knew that? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that was an aha moment for me. Yeah, it was for me.
SPEAKER_00And because I was like, wait, I mean, before, if you just said, like, my mom will always be like, oh, the moon's pretty tonight. Can you see the moon? Or like I might be driving, talking to her, and like, no, I can't see it. But I didn't think it wasn't there. I just assumed it was behind the building, behind some trees, behind something.
SPEAKER_02So there, I didn't realize this. You know, I've told you, uh I'm gonna be careful how I say this because I don't want to offend anybody. There's two there's two schools of thought out there that the earth is flat and the earth is round. Right. And in some people, um I thought it was more people until recent. I thought it was more people biblically that were caught up in the earth was flat versus the earth was round. So um, you thought it was biblical that they thought it was it is some there they're the only people I had known that thought that were in the earth is flat camp, it was a religious thing. Oh so you know I never picked up on that. Well, you know, I have family They thought it was just the loony teams. Yeah, no, I no I think everybody can think what they want, and it doesn't matter. But um so I was just thinking about it. Yeah. Actually when we were at the beach, because I had a discussion with a younger person that says the earth is flat. Well, and you know me, like I'll are I'll talk I will we'll debate anything and I'm like, well, where the hell's it in? Like where's it run off? Yeah. Cause there, I mean, is there Yeah. Where does it Yeah, is there like a is there a wall we run into? Was it is the end of the earth there in Palm Springs where we ran into the mountain? I don't know. Yeah, I don't know. And so I mean, I was just asking questions like that, and and this person said to me, Well, you know, look at the ocean. And I'm like, Well, okay, your eye, your your line of sight, you wouldn't see the bend of the earth. Like we're not uh our vision isn't equipped to go that far.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because I mean if you if you're looking at a ship and it sails straight out in front of you, you'll see it disappear. It goes below the horizon.
SPEAKER_02Right. That's the way I see it. Because it's round. But then I ask, so I ask one of my family members that I know for a fact has read the Bible front to back, but also used to be a science teacher. I'm like, perfect. Yeah, perfect combo. I'm like, okay, earth flat, earth round. I need to know. You've read the whole book and she said, No, the earth is round. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I mean, it has been but how do you okay, okay, besides all of those points, how do you debate that we had now have satellite view and you can see and like I don't know. How do you debate that other like Mars and like all these other planets that we can see are around spheres around the sun.
SPEAKER_02I've been trying to convince myself, trying to see this point. Yeah. And I cannot, and like I said, I'm not saying it in a judgy way.
SPEAKER_00I know there's I know there's parts of the sort of things that I'm so naive about that I do that cannot take up. I am on the earth. I don't give a crap if it is a jelly bean, if it is round, if it is flat. I don't really care in my life. No, I don't care like I can't get into that scrambles my brain so hard that I just can't.
SPEAKER_02I really can't. I really I try to look at both perspectives. And I know there's there's a few um a few scriptures that speak of the four corners of the earth. Personally, personally, um, I mean you can believe whatever you want to believe. Um I I don't take every scripture word for word. Literal. Not lit, yes. So I was noticed, I was like trying to think like the people because I know people and some of the people I know that say tell me the earth is flat are smart and they're not they're not weird people. They're not so you know, just like no, it's flat.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm like, so when I was walking on the beach, I'm like, how the hell did they come up with that? Yeah. Like I I'm trying to like in my mind, I'm like, well, if it's flat, where does it end? Because I'd like to see that. That would be interesting. Where and what does that look like?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I mean I just don't I don't think I'm on board with that. But I don't know. Maybe I'm the wrong one.
Moon Landing Skepticism And Space Math
SPEAKER_02But you know, there's people that say we never landed on the moon that NASA is that real.
SPEAKER_00I don't think we landed on the moon back in the day. No. How they call. Yeah, how they call. Who filmed that? I mean I think, and I wasn't around back in the day to so I'm not stealing anybody's thunder back in the day. I think it was a race with other countries, and it was you had something to prove, and I think it was staged.

And probably still recently, um, in recent years, but think okay, think the 90s when the news people would try to do a broadcast across the city and the delay, they can't even do that. They couldn't even do that. They can now, but they couldn't then. You were calling the damn moon? No. And Phil was the phone number.
SPEAKER_02And it and and it showed up on the on the cover of the newspaper like within a day. Yeah. How'd that happen?
SPEAKER_00I don't know. None. I don't I don't believe that that happened. And why can we not get back there? Because you got all the brand new technology since then, and you can't get back there. I mean, why don't we tell?
SPEAKER_02Why don't they say, okay, this was the deal?
SPEAKER_00Well, they have something to uphold because they were trying to be, you know, Russia and China and all these people there and whatnot. So I'm gonna say no on that one. I mean, I do think. Yeah, and I think they've done things, and I think they've probably sent robots to the moon and they've sent, you know, this and that, but I just don't think because here's the other thing. I did I used to not think that way until recently. The last 10 years, five years. But when you look up, okay, they're doing these like space, like they're going into split space. Like if you look up, for example, how far the um the little space center is, whatever you want to call it. I can't think of the name. Um, it's so close when you compare it to the moon. The space station. Yeah, like the difference in distance is insane. And I'm like, and we can't get back to the moon. Like, that doesn't make sense.
SPEAKER_02And they got there in 1969 and we didn't have cell phones. Mm-hmm. And those and look at their like shuttles they had then. And look at what they even their suits and stuff. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I'm like, that was in a damn warehouse somewhere. No, I'm gonna tell you where that was. You drive from Palm Springs to Las Vegas and you went by the moon landing. That they went out in one of those desert. We learned about that actually. They went out in one of those desert places out there and filmed that. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. They put up a tent, something.
SPEAKER_02They said the eagle has landed. So if y'all are listening out there, seriously, we we we want to know. Did were you around in 1969? Do you think that we landed on the moon? Right. Tell us on our hotline. Yeah. And do you think the earth is flat? Why? And like tell I I'm I'm being serious. Like I've I find it interesting, the two camps. And listen, I I'm I'm kind of the camp that it's round because I ha I've traveled a lot. I hadn't ran into an end of it yet. Um But how do you how does that work?
SPEAKER_00Okay, so let me tell you this, for example, just while we're on it. So the International Space Station is 250 miles from Earth. So that's like from here to like Atlanta. Yeah, the other side of Atlanta. It's not that far. Hell we could drive there. The moon trip. So 250. The moon is 238,000. We ain't been to no damn moon. Eight hundred and fifty five miles.
SPEAKER_02Like that's uh that's our satellite space station up there. And then they're trying to say we travel Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Two hundred and thirty-eight and how would you even thirty-eight thousand miles? It doesn't add up.
SPEAKER_02Just saying. And how would you even have like the fuel? How would you have the energy to get that far?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah, cause that's another thing. Cause if you think about that. Well, I guess they say you get an orbit and it maybe it's throwing you out there. I don't know. It's throwing you out there. All right. That was some bullshit. Yeah, that was calling that as an adult.
SPEAKER_02I'm like, mm-mm, this doesn't add up. That shit was somewhere out in Arizona or Pecos. You you go out there between like Pecos and El Paso in Texas, it could have been filmed there too.
SPEAKER_00Nobody was there. Well, I saw Mars on our way to Las Vegas from Palm Springs. I saw Mars and past the moon landing out in the desert.

SPEAKER_02That's New Mexico. What is it called though? Area, is it Area 51? Where the aliens are. Yeah, that's probably where the studio is. That's another thing. Okay. Do you think there are aliens?
Aliens Cruise Fears And Ocean Scale

SPEAKER_02Because I'm leaning toward, I think there could be. I wouldn't be surprised if not if I mean not aliens, but other forms of life.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Well, I wouldn't be surprised if there's like a civilization. Okay, here's the other thing though. Oh, God. They act like when you read some of these things, like, I don't know, like the aliens, whatever. They act like they're just gonna understand us, like English. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like they've put things out into the um space where it's playing like a song over and over again. I mean, we we like you and I, well, you can understand Spanish. We got different languages, Chinese. You can't understand a lick of Chinese, for example. Now, how's some damn alien gonna come and understand?
SPEAKER_02No, I don't believe that. You know what I'm saying? Well, and it would just be such a different. I mean, look at like you said, look at all of the humans around the world, how vastly different we are.
SPEAKER_00And we're humans, we're all the same, but yet we're so different. And all I know is if they're coming and looking for us, they're a lot smarter than us. So hopefully they can help us out. You know, like maybe they'll maybe an alien will come down and be like, y'all are doing this shit wrong. Let me share some technology. Look at these fools. They still go to work every day. Let me share some technology with you. Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for.
SPEAKER_02But it just seems like there's been a lot of cover up over the years. I feel like there's something to it. Unexplainable. Yeah. Uh or it was it was either there are aliens or it's something with the government.

SPEAKER_02And you know, I mean, it could be shady either way. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I mean, because I think it's pretty damn shady of the government to make everybody to believe we landed on the moon. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I just don't know. I mean, I think there's probably I d I don't have a feeling strongly one way or the other, but I wouldn't be surprised. I just feel I guess is what in my mind, I feel like there are aliens, but it's not on what we've grown up thinking, ooh, there's aliens. Like not little green men walking around. Like E.T.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Or somebody like that. I don't know. No, it's something different. But you know, I mean, we could be aliens to other forms of life. Yeah. When we're when we're doing explorations with NASA, we could be the alien. Yeah, exactly. Is what I'm saying. I mean, I mean, it's all just kind of it's all mind.
SPEAKER_00That's why I said I my mind is too simple. I'm just on this planet doing my own thing.
SPEAKER_02But when you think about the ocean, like when I was walking along the ocean, how huge that is and how deep that is, and watching the ships, like we watched, um I can't remember what documentary it was, on the cruise ship that turned over. Yeah. That is mind-boggling. Like, do I mean those ships are massive, so huge and so heavy. How do they not just sink to the bottom? Yeah. And like it turned completely over. I don't know how all of that. That's one thing I've about decided my asset getting back on a cruise. Oh, I love a cruise. I'm gonna go on a cruise. We should do a nested thig cruise.

SPEAKER_02One one's turned over. A friend of mine, a personal friend of mine, went on one and got lesionary. Well, how long ago was that? Um, 10 years.

Um, but you know, my nephew did the Alaskan one and I wanted to do that, and he was like, I don't really do that one. He said I wouldn't do that one. He was like, what you see of Alaska is the cheesy, it's like that's why I would do not do it.
SPEAKER_00Not because I don't want to do the cruise. I feel like what you would see is not what you want in your mind as seen right now.

SPEAKER_00Yeah. Like I like going on a cruise. I don't even know if I would do like a European one. Because like if you're in Europe somewhere, you want to see that country or wherever you are. If I'm doing a cruise, I want it to be tropical and I'm going, I'm gonna have a good time on the boat. There's gonna be fun activities. I'm not worried about the ports because anytime the ports are always tourist traps and not that great.
SPEAKER_02Unless you do a really like if it's a long one and you go out and do a really nice excursion. Right. That's yeah, but I've done those and I'm like, that's nice. But if you just do the port stuff, I'm like, yeah.

Car Comfort Aging And Body Limits
SPEAKER_00No. How are you liking your car? You drove your car. Did you drive your car to the beach? Yeah, to Florida?
SPEAKER_02Really, really surprisingly, I think it's I think it's my favorite car I've ever had. Not my favorite SUV. These two separate things. Yeah. But it's my favorite car. I like it because it's really big, but still very sporty. Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_02And very comfortable. The older I get, the more I need well, it's hard for you to get down on the ground.
SPEAKER_00I need to keep your back.
SPEAKER_02I need and see the seats really work. Like I I can only hat handle certain seats. Especially sitting down like that. I'm just, you know, wait till you you got some years coming.

SPEAKER_02Just wait. Do you know when I told you eight years ago? I mean, you can tell a difference. Like, because I'm eight years older than you. Unfortunately, I hate to admit it. And listen, I am gonna keep going. I plan on working up until around noon, the day of my funeral. Um, but you can tell a difference. Yeah. You know, because I was I were I used to in my twenties, I worked like a dog, I partied like an animal, and I managed to work in the yard every day. I don't know how I did everything. I don't think I slept. I didn't sleep for like 12 years.
SPEAKER_00That's how everybody feels though. I mean, I did everything. It is true. God, and we have done so many, you know, every time we've redone a store, a moved a store, or opened a new store, or whatever, we always do all the stuff ourselves, which makes it the most fun. But you know, we've had Steven in there, I was built for some of the stuff. Laying floors, and I'm like laid floors twice. And every time he's like, I'm eight years older than you, and I'm still doing this, which is crazy. Because think the last time we really did one seven years ago. Yeah. Well, we did the garden store, or I did the garden store.

SPEAKER_00Did you do the garden store floor? That wasn't as bad. Remember, I couldn't walk. Yeah, so that was 2022.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah. That's when I told you, as I hate to admit it, I can't do the floors again.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's when he said, mm-mm. Next time we gotta hire someone to do the floors because I can't do it.
